THE ELAH VALLEY

All tours are on Saturday evenings at 7pm Israel time and last one hour.

DESCRIPTION

This valley was an important corridor from the coast cities that provided access up to the center of Judah and its cities; Bethlehem, Hebron and Jerusalem. For that reason the Philistines and other pagan cultures often tried to capture the valley. The valley of Elah was also the place of the famous Biblical battle between young David and the Giant Goliath, one of the classic Biblical drama stories. "Elah" is the Hebrew name of the Terebinth tree. On this virtual tour we will show you the exact spot where it is believed the battle took place, as tour buses cannot stop there in the middle of the highway.
