About the event

Mark 11: 13- 14,

13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.

In this true Bible story, has in it an Aramaic/ Hebraic idiom, that most of the churches, evangelists, writers and even scholars  are not quite clear about it, and easily misunderstand the point. So how come Jesus curses the fig tree if it wasn't the season of the figs? Jesus cursed the tree because he did not find the early figs as it was not the season of the ripe figs yet. In most translations there is only one word for figs but in Aramaic/ Hebraic there is the early figs and the ripen figs.

Join us to learn more, where we will see how the mercy of God that brought Hope and Healing at the temple to the desperate people of Jerusalem, at the same time this mercy brought as well his glory, which will lead to God's justice and even God's judgment!

Looking forward to connect with you again!
